GeeMail is a cross-platform desktop Gmail client that makes it easy for you to access your Gmail account online or offline.
It requires Adobe Air operation (so it can run on both Mac and Linux) and opens as a very simple window with a simplified Gmail user interface. When you sign up for the first time, GeeMail may take some time to download, but your inbox will be as fast as Gmailin your browser. The benefit of having your hard drive running at full capacity means you can access your inbox and write email offline (when you go online).
There is no absolute option for GeeMail, which is a mercy because your attachments are not downloaded to your messages, so you can not access them offline. While it looks like it is a Gmail offer. It’s really disappointing because Adobe Air has given us somein the coolest desktop apps of last May, and it would be nice if GeeMail is a bit more creative.
If you are looking for a very basic Gmail client, this is not a problem with no configuration required. However, there is competition in the form of your own offline GmailLab, which gives you fully synchronized offline access to Gmail.
GeeMail is capable, but very simple and in a royal need for moreopportunity.
